About Me

"Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life."

Since 2014, I've been on the move creating a life I'm passionate about.

Born during the political upheaval of a post-revolutionary Iran, my family and I escaped the country by foot. After a year living as refugees, we immigrated to Canada and became citizens.

Growing up in a diverse, inclusive city like Toronto nurtures a culture of acceptance in you, and if you're lucky, often comes with a drive to have new experiences in foreign lands.

Mental illness has certainly touched my life, as it has the lives of so many. Having struggled with depression and PTSD, I know about our need to feel seen, heard, and accepted. Above all, I think we just like knowing that each of us is not alone. I think it matters if we share our experiences.
